2024 Recap
Thank you!
A huge thanks to all the individuals and businesses that put a lot of effort into helping us deliver events and raise money! This year we had 3x the help we had in 2023 and Team NCAM did a great job keeping things rolling. We are a volunteer run organization, none of this would be possible without our loyal team, our friends and neighbors, and the greater Tillamook community.

Where does this money go?
This entire year was possible thanks to a $5000 grant from the City of Rockaway Beach. We were able to use that to upgrade RWR for Year 2 and it was the catalyst that kicked off a successful year. Our goal is to make sure that we can create scholarships, projects and events to keep arts and music alive in our community. Here is where your donations are going:
We awarded the RWR 2024 Scholarship of $1000 to Ashley Hamann.
Kyler’s Big Heart is a music event and fundraiser to benefit local emergency responders. The total raised, $6074 is in a dedicated account, and these funds will help train our emergency responders and provide additional equipment that will help responders have a higher success rate. Many of our responders are volunteers, thank you to all of our emergency responders for their great work this year.
For our special project, building a control room in the high school music room, we have $6,600 of our $20,000 goal in a dedicated savings account. When we reach that goal, we hope the school will be able to begin work as soon as they are able and we will pay the invoices.
What’s in store for 2025?
We are working hard on delivering the third year of our creative writing event, we are excited to deliver a bigger event this year which will also feature the 2025 Anthology. This year it will be a full color print, and we are conducting both a writing contest AND and art contest, adult and student winners will be published, plus the students earn cash prizes.
We have added more volunteers that bring some great experience. Sandy Johnson and Kristin Koptiuch helped us apply for a number of grants that could help us really scale in 2025. We appreciate their time, knowledge and effort!
And this is my last treasurer report, I have been fired. Well, I fired myself because Penny Cole has been voted on to our board and has much better experience, so I am grateful to turn the treasury over to her! I can focus on music, tech, and marketing, while enjoying less stress.
If you want to get involved with a fun group that works well together, and you are excited to keep arts and music alive in our community, we can ALWAYS use more help, don’t be shy!
